One Day in Paradise opened its doors in December 2008 to meet the needs of the growing Australian Lolita fashion community and beyond.
Starting out in the master bedroom of a 2 bedroom house off Armadale’s fashion forward High Street, One Day in Paradise made Lolita fashion affordable and accessible for the first time ever, as well as enabling the community to gain prominence as Australia’s fastest emerging subculture.
In 2010, One Day in Paradise moved to the Visage n Vice Boutique, Melbourne’s premier alternative fashion boutique, to complement their existing range of high quality fashion.
In September 2011, One Day in Paradise announced its manufacturing and distribution arm, dedicated to producing alternative fashion at a cost effective price.
As of the end of 2011, One Day in Paradise has shown at 24 conventions across Australia, as well as Auckland, New Zealand, and has shipped to over 26 countries across the world.
And in 2012… well, you’ll just have to wait and see.
Have you ever wished upon a star, and had that wish come true?
